Most commonly known for it’s use as a bedtime tea. At one time or another you’ve probably had, or at least been offered a cup of chamomile tea in the evening. It’s most well known for treating mild cases of insomnia. What you might not realize is that chamomile is also very good for helping with several other things. It does a wonderful job of treating stomach cramps and pains. Menstrual cramps and moodiness can be washed away in a cup of chamomile tea! It’s also a good tea for when you have the flu, it helps with the pains and if you mix in a bit of peppermint it will help settle the stomach as well.

Chamomile can even help you to have better skin. For skin conditions, take one ounce chamomile, one ounce dandelion, and two-thirds ounce of fennel. Mix together; add one teaspoon to one cup hot water. Steep this for five to ten minutes then strain and drink. This stimulates the metabolic activity in healing skin conditions.

  1. Chamomile, my favorite. I have it at bedtime but I also love it in the middle of the day if I’m stressed. Although too much can get me sleepy, but who cares? I just feel plain feel good, and nothing gets me down then. Life is wonderful with chamomile tea.

  2. [...] I don’t like chamomile tea. As a matter of fact, I only drink it when I am sick. Maybe I don’t like the sickly sweet taste of it even without honey. My taste really doesn’t matter as long as the tea does what it should. I can’t write objectively about it, so I will let my friend do the talking for me Retta outlines the joys and benefits of drinking Chamomile. Make sure you read about it and take it all in. It really is a wonder tea, just not one that I personally can gush about. Share and Enjoy: These icons link to social bookmarking sites where readers can share and discover new web pages. [...]
