fruit20 energy drink ~ energy water?
Energy drinks seem to be quite the rage these days. Personally I am not fond of them, and just the smell Red Bull makes me want to gag. Of course, health experts say that water is the natural energy drink. When Kraft first introduced their Fruit2O water’s I was excited, and then disappointed because of the Splenda. Artificial sweeteners and I do not get along. Give me real sugar, or give me no sweetener at all, please!
Anyhow, they have now taken Fruit2O a step further and introduced Vitamin Enhanced Fruit2O drinks. There are currently four varieties of this “boosting” water. Immunity is Berry Pomegranate flavor, Hydration is Strawberry Tangerine flavor, Relax is Tropical Fruit flavor, and Energy is Raspberry flavor. These are supposed to give you a boost of daily essential vitamins, and thus energize you for the day. The best part is they are zero calories just like their regular Fruit2O counterparts.
I looked for these at the grocery store for Brian, he really likes the regular Fruit2O’s and he likes energy drinks, so I thought it would be a good mix for him. I didn’t find any yet, maybe when we go to Kroger we’ll find some for him to try out. I’ll have to sit out the trying because of the sweetener, but I’ll let you know what Brian thinks if we ever find some for him to test out.

Vitamin enhanced sounds good to me. I’m afraid people will get confused by the “Energy Drink” label and avoid it because they think it’s stuffed full of caffeine.

I’d say that if you don’t drink enough water, then you do run out of energy, but personally, I get my energy from food! Call me old-fashioned, but can millions of years of evolution (tens of thousands of it as humanity) be so very wrong? Tradition has it’s place!
As for sugar, it gives me a boost, but I pay for it with a big dip afterwards. What goes up, must come down. Doesn’t quite count as energy, but it can get me though a tough spot sometimes. One time I went for a run and ran out of energy along the way. I asked a passer-by for a candy!

According to the website at Kraft the energy drink does in fact contain caffeine, as much as a cup of coffee?!?! Weird ~ caffeinated water.
