keeping up with the mess

Gah! Mess everywhere all the time, I swear it makes itself! We’ve only lived here a month and I thought the first few weeks cleaning would be easy…new place not much to clean, don’t even have all the boxes unpacked. Yeah right, was I ever wrong, wrong, wrong. There’s just as much mess as usual, dishes to do, floors to scrub, litter box to empty. Then there’s new kinds of mess. All those wonderful shady trees we have leave pine needles and all sorts of stuff everywhere and of course if we’re not careful all that stuff gets drug into the house. There has definitely been some extra vacuuming going on.

The kids have been great about helping for change, thank goodness. And it’s good to see them have a sense of pride in their new home. Before they just threw things wherever and didn’t seem interested in the house at all. They really like it here and it’s made such a huge difference in the way they react to the little messes that crop up during the day. Where before they would just walk away, now they are grabbing a rag and offering to help.

I still think we need a maid … but our current budget says otherwise! LOL

All those roles and duties can really wear you out (even if you love doing them) and make you feel like there's no time left over to do the things you want to do.

Now is the time to get your Find the Time Mama guide and start making changes.
