100 hair tie thingymabobbles! I have thick hair and I am forever breaking hair clips, hair ties, and anything else that goes in my hair. And it doesn’t matter if I buy expensive ones or dollar store ones, the same thing always happens. Stretch, break, snap, crackle, fizzle, pfft. I was down to my last two ties for my hair and with my upcoming trip this weekend I really didn’t want to travel and not have something to pull my hair back with. So, on our recent trip to the grocery store I headed to the beauty aisle to grab a little cardboard sleeve with ties on it. I knew exactly where they were and I was just going to grab a strip of solid black Goody brand hair ties. But, there on the bottom shelf were these little plastic drawstring bags “100 piece hair accessories only $1″ Compared to eight ties for $2.99…. I think I’ll take the 100 pieces. I tosses one in the cart and figured anything in the bag that I didn’t want I could just pass on to my niece. She has the opposite problem I do, her hair is very thin and she needs the teeny tiny clips and ties.

I got it home and dumped it all out on my desk. Like a bag of candy -lol- I was actually pretty pleased with what I found inside the bag. Mostly ties! There are a few weird ones with plastic flowers and stars on them that I probably won’t use unless I can manage to cut those little plastic things off. I don’t feel like trying to untangle them from my hair in the middle of the day. Then there were 2 scrunchies, 2 funky wide headbands in cool colors, and handful of the little mini clips.

Overall I am pretty pleased with I got for my one dollar. And it probably saved me at least 12 dollars on replacement hair ties! I was really surprised to have found this at my grocery store, which is a Bottom Dollar if anyone is wondering. I don’t think even my Dollar Tree had a hair tie set this big available. I know I’ve seen grab bags there before, but I think they were 25 pieces, or 50 pieces. Hooray for a good bargain find!
