We’re visiting family out of town this week and so far all we’ve had is rain. Washed our plans for cooking out on the grill right down the drain. And the kids didn’t bring a lot of inside stuff to play with because they’d normally be out playing with the dogs in the yard. But, instead everyone’s been inside most of the time. There has been a lot of stuff keeping everyone busy though. Gameboy games, books to read, playing with dogs still going on, some drawing and coloring, and we went to Target and picked up a big Harry Potter jigsaw puzzle to put together so that was fun to work on tonight. Even if it doesn’t rain tomorrow, the yard is a marshy swamp right now it rained so hard and so fast the water just kind of laid around. If nothing else we can go jump in mud puddles!

So, what do you do when it’s rainy and dreary outside? Any particular favorite rainy day activity? Card games and long epic Monopoly battles are favorites at our house too. Sometimes by candle light when the power goes out -lol-

One thing you won’t see us doing on a rainy day is flying RC helicopters, but you might just find the boys running their RC cars around the living room until the batteries die!
