celebrating 10 years
It was our 10 year wedding anniversary. How does Just Not Martha celebrate 10 years? Certainly not by cooking or cleaning -lol- We dropped the munchkins off at the inlaws and went out for dinner and a movie. We didn’t do anything traditional, and we don’t exchange gifts or anything like that either so this was something nice and simple for us. Then we made a pathetic attempt at trying to get the kids home at a decent time for bed. That didn’t go so well, and that part bothers me a little because they are generally very good about their bedtime. I have left Thanksgiving-freaking-dinner in order to get the kids home in time to get ready for bed and unwind and get a decent nights sleep. All in hopes that they won’t up like me with insane cases of insomnia. And what happens? They were wound up and not ready to go to sleep, of course. They were awake well past 10:00 and it’s a school night. I probably should have waiting until Friday to go out, but my anniversary isn’t Friday, you know? Oh well. Tomorrow is a new day and maybe everyone will come home and take a nap after school -ROFL- I know who am I kidding, right? I’m sure that one night won’t tarnish their little minds, but then again it may scar them for life and doom them to nights of sleeplessness!

Congratulations on the 10 years! That’s quite the commitment, especially now in this country. Simplicity is nice, the boyfriend and I are very much like that. Present exchanging is for the birds, haha.
