lease violations

My mailbox is full of bad news today. Our insurance hasn’t bothered to even respond to a medical claim they received so we’re being billed. Brian is taking the bill with him to work tomorrow to talk to the persona that handles that at work. I’m so fed up with this insurance.

I got a lease violation notice in my mailbox. This is my second one, we’ve only lived her since July. The violation checked is “other” and it says that the trash coming from my home is not being properly disposed of and must be corrected immediately. Attached is a scan of an envelope from a card my kids received. Since I generally don’t leave mail lying about my only guess is that it fell out of the trash bag when one of the boys took the trash bag to the dumpster. If situation is not remedied immediately I will be given 21 days to vacate the property. Oh and further violations would cost a $25 fee added to my account. make up your mind are you charging me or evicting me.

I don’t know if I should even bother going to talk to the girl in the office about this or not. I’m sure it was just a routine procedure and all that, but I’m seriously annoyed. I pick up other’s people’s garbage daily. Water bottles, toys, plastic bags, etc. I despise litter, as do my children. If they had realized they had dropped something I am more than 100% certain they would have picked it up. I clean up after my dog when others clearly do not. I keep an eye on my kids when other people’s kids do whatever the heck they want. Including leave trash on other people’s steps and wreck their bikes into cars on purpose to see if there’s an alarm.

I’m sure you wonder what my previous violation was don’t you? I had a cooler on my back patio and I had put my mop outside to dry after cleaning one day. That was a big no no. I must put my mop in the bathroom to dry and not outside. Apparently I come from redneck country where people put their mops outside to dry when it’s warm out.

I am refraining from walking over to the office right now because I know their day is almost over and they are probably ready to head home. No one wants to deal with the last client of the day, you know. I can go over and talk to her tomorrow morning after the kids get on the bus and find out how serious this thing is or if it’s just routine nothing better to do paperwork. We like our townhouse but I constantly get an alienated feeling of “we don’t want you here” for some stupid reason. Probably just my head playing games with me. Ugh. I’m having one of those days where I want to crawl in a hole and eat all the Halloween candy in the house.

Some of the worst times in my life were when I was living in an apartment. Once you move into a house, all those problems go away.

Of course, you then have some different problems…
