monday morning blahs

It’s Monday again already. My mom and stepdad will be here Thursday afternoon. Winter break starts Friday. It’s nearly Christmas!!! Eeek! How did that happen already? The house is a mess, there’s a huge pile of laundry in the hallway and I haven’t even really started the cookies. That reminds I have a cookie exchange coming up. I better get cracking on the cookie making.

Speaking of cookie making …. can anyone recommend a good sugar free cookie? My SIL is diabetic and I want to make some cookies for her so she’s not tempted by all the sugary goodness.

Of course none of this has anything to do with Wilmington NC real estate, but it’s nice to have sponsors to my random Monday morning babble sometimes.

You love being a mom. It's one of the best things in the world and you'd never turn it in for any other life. Me too!

But, there's no need to strive to be Super Woman or to put on any fronts that's it's all a breeze. Fact of the matter is, being a mom, a spouse, the cook, cleaner, nurse, chauffeur, bookkeeper, event planner, organizer and [fill in the blank with your many duties here] is not always easy. All those roles and duties can really wear you out (even if you love doing them) and make you feel like there's no time left over to do the things you want to do.
