family is here

Good morning blogosphere. Just getting some computer time in real quick before my mom and stepdad get back over here from their hotel room. They were going to stay on the AeroBed for a few days, but 3 dogs, 1 cat, and four kids makes for quite a bit of foot traffic through the living room.

The countdown to Christmas is on I guess. Have to go get a turkey and a ham, make some cookies and all that good stuff. Christmas dinner is at my house this year *gasp* 19 people in my little townhouse. I wish I could wave a wand and expand it into one of those big luxury homes for just one day. Then I could wave a wand and put it back the way it was. LOL I wouldn’t want to dust all those rooms on a regular basis, you know?

You love being a mom. It's one of the best things in the world and you'd never turn it in for any other life. Me too!

But, there's no need to strive to be Super Woman or to put on any fronts that's it's all a breeze. Fact of the matter is, being a mom, a spouse, the cook, cleaner, nurse, chauffeur, bookkeeper, event planner, organizer and [fill in the blank with your many duties here] is not always easy. All those roles and duties can really wear you out (even if you love doing them) and make you feel like there's no time left over to do the things you want to do.
