are you ready for valentines?

The kids want to go out and buy valentines and get all sorts of valentiney things. We’ve never done a whole lot for Valentine’s really, maybe some special dessert and cards for the kids. But as a couple we’ve never really done anything on this particular day, even when we were first dating. What can I say, I’m not that fond of overpriced candy, I’m allergic to roses, and fine lingerie is not on my wish list. Now, if you’d like to buy me a Think Geek gift certificate, or some new embroidery scissors then I’m game.

Hey - I’m new to your site…got here from The Domestic Diva’s site…
My hubby and I don’t really do anything for V-Day, either. Never have. He normally gets me a racey card and a bag of Reese Cups (my favorite), and I always bake him a giant chocolate chip cookie. It works for us, and it sure as heck is better than a crappy teddy bear that cost $25.
