From friday night game nights
With the weather cold—and maybe funds low after holiday shopping—this Friday night, stay in with family and friends and let the games begin. Monopoly has an updated version, the “Monopoly Electronic Banking Edition,” with a new debit payment system. Each player receives a Monopoly debit card and starts off with $15 million dollars. The card keeps track of the player’s balance, a great way to introduce kids to the world of finance. Visit hasbro.com for more information.

saving money on eating out.
You don’t have to avoid restaurants to save money—just know when and where to go. Guests have the opportunity to experience the same delicious food with a more affordable bill during “restaurant weeks.” For these promotions (usually occurring twice a year in the winter and summer seasons), many fancy restaurants offer prix fixe meals for a deep discount. Search online for a restaurant week in your area. City websites that list restaurant weeks include centercityphila.org and iloveny.com.

The Monopoly idea sounds good! It’s a perfect way to combine fun with valuable lessons about finance! To some it may look like a simple game, but it can work wonders when it comes to finances!
On the other hand, I had no idea about the restaurant discounts. That could prove really useful! Thanks for the tip
