Of cake and milkshakes and fun things to do
My little munchkin head turned 7 yesterday. We went to Silver Diner for dinner. The kids love the milkshakes and the fun atmosphere. And Tuesday is Kid’s Night where members of the Kid’s club get a free milkshake and there are drawings every hour and there’s fun crafts and goodies! It was a valentine’s theme last night so that’s why you see so much pink and red on the table in the pics. Dylan and Lucas both won soft cuddly teddy bears in the first hour’s drawing.
If you have a Silver Diner near you I highly recommend it. We’ve been there three times now, once just Brian and I for my birthday and twice with the kids since then. I’ve never had dessert. Why? Because the dinner is so good and so filling I couldn’t possibly eat both a dessert and a dinner! The pies are so big and thick and full of filling. Huggggee! So one day we’ll have to stop in and get just dessert. I really want a Mocha Dream Milkshake, but the shakes are so big and thick I have a feeling that will fill me up for most of the day.
If you like Cobb Salad, you must get one. Brian had the Cobb Salad last night, and normally at an average restaurant he would order a cobb salad and a sandwich, or half a sandwich if they have that option. Not last night. No sandwich required. It was the biggest salad I have ever seen served to one person in my entire life, and with more “stuff” than lettuce. It was more like good stuff sprinkled with a bit of lettuce. There were big eggs, and chunks of chicken, fresh cucumber slices, it was a gorgeous salad.
So, there you go. A happy birthday and what is quickly becoming the kid’s new favorite restaurant. They picked Silver Diner over Fuddrrucker’s and Fuddrucker’s has video games! If you know my boys, you know that’s a huge thing LOL
What did the birthday boy get for his birthday? Aside from a few birthday cards and letters he got… a Hershey’s Checker’s set, new swim trunks, Ben10 something or another that he picked out at Target after dinner, TMNT mask and sword and mutating goopy oooozzze, and a lot of hugs.

Happy B-Day! I remember when I was 7. Those were simpler times.
