Taxes done, now we wait!
Can I just say that I (pink puffy heart) Turbo Tax!?! I’ve been a Turbo Tax filer for about 5 or 6 years now I think … I love it, I can’t believe I used to fill my taxes out with a pencil, what was I thinking? I finally got our taxes filed this week, and it only took me about 30 minutes to do from start to finish! I can just hear the groans from all the people that sat in tax prep offices for hours on end this week -lol-
Why was it so fast? Because I just go to the Turbo Tax website, start a form, login with my username and password and it asks me if I would like to import my information to save time. Well, of course I want to save time so I select yes. Whoooooosh, it automagics all my information like SSN, address, phone number, employer addresses and tax ID#s, the kids information etc … all of it is magically filled out using the information I entered last year.
I changed my mailing address, added some 1099’s, entered a few numbers, ran through the guide to make sure nothing was missing and that was it. Signed electronically and sent electronically. Done. You can ask tax questions and get full professional tax support if you need help with anything along the way too so it’s not as scary as those commercials on television that try to convince you to go to some stuffy tax preperation office.
Now I just wait for my refund to be direct deposited into my bank account! Then we pay all the bills we’re behind on -lol-

I just recently used TurboTax for the first time….but the home installed version. I’d used TaxCut for the past four years simply because it was cheaper. But this year TurboTax was the bargain (and I love bargains). Anyway, I loved it. No real difference from TaxCut, but it worked just fine. I even watched as my 18 year old son did his own tax return. That was an experience. OMG, where has the time gone?
