uh oh my tooooof!!!
Funny titles aside, I just broke yet another tooth in my mouth. Right in half …. and not even on anything hard, just having a sandwich. Do you think the tooth fairy will bring me a couple thousand dollars worth of new teeth?
I think that gives me a total of five that are broken and/or cracked, plus one that appears to be dead. This one is probably the worst, broke it right in half now I have this gaping hole in the back of my mouth. Oddly enough it doesn’t actually hurt… yet anyhow.
What’s sad is up until son number 3 I had great healthy teeth. The only problem I had prior to having kids was tetracycline, which is easily solved of course with some shiny veneers. Pregnancy is hell on your teeth. You know how they say you should see your dentist during your pregnancy, please listen. Nothing is worse for your teeth than being pregnant. I think 1,000 jawbreakers would be better for your teeth than having kids -lol-
That’s okay I’ll take my rugrats over shiny teeth any day. But, that doesn’t mean I won’t trade in their college funds for some cosmetic dentistry. LOL that is if they had college funds in which to trade!

How awful! I am missing a tooth so I have a gaping hole in my teeth. And here is a secret: I have a hole in another tooth on the other side of my mouth and I just know it means it will have to come out the same way as the other. I want to cry thinking about it. My teeth problems are due to still having baby teeth. I guess baby teeth aren’t meant to last 30+ years.

I remember haveing perfect teeth until I went to the dentist after having my son. I had 4 cavities!! No problems since then till a couple of years ago and now I have 3 crowns and one root canal. I even have dental insurance, but the cost is just unbelievable!! I went almost 30 years without any problems, and now at 50 they seem to be falling apart. So I know where you are coming from.

I’m really starting to wonder why we pay monthly for dental insurance when all it will cover is routine cleaning and xrays. It really is crazy. I was supposed to have my wisdom teeth out about 3 years ago, had the appointment all scheduled and everything was ready to go. Until the lady at the desk looked up my insurance…. Well they’ll pay for some of the removal, and 0 of the anesthetics, and 0 of the prescriptions …. and the remainder was still like $1600!!! Yeah, I still have wisdom teeth….

I need a lot of work done on my teeth. But they’re waiting on three kids to get out of college, so I’ve got a while. It’s a shame dental work is so expensive. Painful and expensive - a great combination, huh?

If the dentist wasn’t overpriced and overbooked (next available appointment is like 3 months from now) I might actually think about it. LOL
I know really, they could at least give you free pain meds or something right? roflmao
