broken glasses already

He’s only had them for a few weeks now and they broke today while he was taking a test. Just sitting there not touching them and they came apart on him. Poor kid. He is really careful with them so I know it’s not from him being too rough.
The humor of this? These are X-games titanium frames that are the unbreakable kind. The frame didn’t break… the little screw on the side popped out and it won’t stay in, it looks like the little tiny screw actually broke!! How crazy and minuscule is that? So we’re off to the mall to see if we can get a replacement screw for those and get them put back together again.

Anyway, the good thing is you get to get one of those cool itty bitty glasses screwdrivers. I always liked those.

I have had the same thing happen! Crazy expensive frames that can take a pounding, then a little screw drops out and you scratch your lenses. Grrrr!
I agree with Santa Clarita Mom above - definitely pick up one of those handy eyeglass repair kits next time you’re at a register somewhere. They are very common and only cost around $1.

i know what you are going through. it seems like glasses are getting more expensive and made with less quality these days.

The price of glasses is really high. But the cost does not increase a lot. For our eyes, do we have other choice?
