last minute cleaning up & unplanned visits
My mom is coming to visit the boys while they’re off school all this week. She’s leaving early in the morning (aka in a few hours from now LOL) and she’ll get here probably a little past lunchtime. So I looked around and realized that even though we just cleaned the house is kind of a mess.
So I started cleaning up some of the mess that was laying around, put away the clean laundry, started washing the dirty laundry. The kids actually pitched in and cleaned the dining room and put the clothes away! Everything was going so smoothly. Now it’s late at night and I have no helpers! Just me and a scrub bucket, no fair.
My mom already knows that I’m the worst house keeper in the world so she doesn’t expect things to be all shiny clean and spectacular like a Winter Park real estate display house or something. But I still like to put the effort out there, you know?
