ugh food prices are ridiculous
I heard on the news that they were calling for a second stimulus check plan because gas and food prices have gone up (insert insane percentage the lady said here… I can’t remember the number it was too jaw dropping) since the first stimulus checks were planned, and foreclosures are happening at alarming rates. This was the other day sitting in the waiting room of the doctor’s office, during the press conference with the president.
Anyhow, the point is that I went to the store tonight. Got maybe three average sized bags of groceries, which for a family of six is practically nothing. My bill was $70. I had to look again and make sure I didn’t hit the cash back button by mistake when I ran my debit card. No, my total for just my items was 70 freaking dollars.
Let me give you an idea of what I purchased. Half a gallon of milk, 6 cans of carrots, 6 cans of beets, 1 bunch of bananas, 1 bag of romaine lettuce, a loaf bread, a package of ground meat, cottage cheese, a few frozen items for the kids, a bag of chicken nuggets, salad dressing, tea, white rice….. and I admit I grabbed a Coke on my way through the checkout. 70-freaking-dollars!!! My debit card is crying in my wallet at this very moment.

My debit card is crying too– I got cat food, and just a handful of groceries– milk, bread, cereal, and some fruit all on sale– pineapple, watermelon, strawberries– some ground meat, and a few other items… certainly not enough to feed me for very long, and it came to 61 dollars and change. This is painful!

Almost all the prices of the essential commodities have increased tremendiously .I think the reason behind this is rise in inflation ,because of this every body is suffering.
