to sell or not to sell that is the question

If you’ve seen the 40 Year Old Virgin you might remember his girlfriend’s ebay store. This is kind of like a real life version of that. You go to the store, drop off your stuff and they sell it. You then share the profits with them. The benefits to this is that they do all the work. They take all the photos, write the sales copy, answer questions that come in, take care of all the handling etc. You just watch the bids roll in for the item. When it’s all over you’ll get a check in the mail from iSold It.

booksI’ve been thinking about selling off some of books on our bookshelves. We have a lot of books and right now we need to come up with money for van repairs and moving costs, so I figured hey might as well clear out the books. Using an iSold It would be nice and easy, but the closest location to me is over in Richmond. Bummer. I hope there will be one closer to the Hampton Roads area soon. Or… maybe I could open one! That would be cool, and I’ve always wanted a store, but I’m not sure that I could handle the hours with the kids in school. Working from home the past 8 years has spoiled me a little bit when it comes to punching a time clock. I’m all about working lots of hours, and I love to work, but darn those time clocks.

There’s a long list of iSold It stores on the site, check it out and see if there’s one near you. Then stop procrastinating and gather up all that stuff you “keep meaning to sell on ebay” and take it over there and drop it off!
