Taking a moment to breathe ……

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed and follow me on Twitter. Thank you for visiting!

breathe in ….

breathe out….

I’m two seconds away from another anxiety attack and people just keep throwing things at me. School fees, 100 dollars worth of band equipment to buy, I broke the crockpot (I’ll tell you later), MIL needs something, kid is sick, deadline to meet, kid with bad grades because hes in a class he doesn’t belong in, honking big electric bill to pay (almost 300 for one month, I called and they insist it’s right but they’ll check the meter again for me), kid that didn’t turn in an assignment, parent teacher conference, time to spend with the family, groceries needed, voter registration change of address to take care of, where is my focus? what am I doing? Sorry, I’m not here right now, I’m busy exploding. Please leave a message. …….Beep.

  2. *waiting for the beep*

Breathing…is all you can do! Hope things slow down for you in the near future! :)

btw…our electric bill was a doozy too! Its not the ‘usage’ at this point, just the rates went up over 70%! *new economics?* Yeesh!

Yep…my favorite time of the year, school time…seems they need money for eveything….then the week comes when they come home with the ‘fund raisers’. You have to wonder…can we send in our OWN fund raisers to help pay for all this STUFF? :P

    keep on breathing!

  3. It is the new rates for the electric bill. I saw the rate jump on the last bill and was bracing myself for more of the same, but I guess it only affected half of the last bill .. ugh, and we live in a TINY little house.

I can’t imagine if I had a big one to cool/heat - I would have hamsters running on wheels in the basement. Think Kids Next Door hamster powered treehouse…

  4. It is just nice to know that other people are riding a runaway merry go ’round too! Where do I get offffffffff?

  5. I get in these types of situations too sometimes, where you have so much stuff going on that you feel overextended and to some extent helpless. I think sometimes you just need to cut everything off for a little bit and focus on one thing that you want to do. For instance, I usually go out for a nice looonnng run when a feel my life is getting hectic. The simplicity of moving your body forward to get from point a to point b is usually enough to let me unwind and cool down. And yes, breathing is very important:)

  6. I hope things calm down for you. Yeah–my hubby is out of town for 6 weeks and, just as it is every time he goes away, that’s inevitably when things start to break, my girls got sick, the van’s battery died (my fault–but still!!). You just want to put up a big “crap shield” around you and say “No more! I’ve got enough crap to deal with for now, thanks!” :)

  7. Exactly. I want a big shield from everything. My computer is now in
the shop, and there’s so much going on, the universe is trying to
    squash me! LOL

Find the Time Mama

You love being a mom. It's one of the best things in the world and you'd never turn it in for any other life. Me too!

But, there's no need to strive to be Super Woman or to put on any fronts that's it's all a breeze. Fact of the matter is, being a mom, a spouse, the cook, cleaner, nurse, chauffeur, bookkeeper, event planner, organizer and [fill in the blank with your many duties here] is not always easy. All those roles and duties can really wear you out (even if you love doing them) and make you feel like there's no time left over to do the things you want to do.

Now is the time to get your Find the Time Mama guide and start making changes.
