Well, I always tell you about the cool stuff that we buy and use and love, and the stuff we buy and use and hate …. so here I am on the fence about a purchase and asking you the lovely readers if I should jump or not.

The house we’re moving into has a nice sized yard for the kiddos and puppy dog to play in. Since we’ll have a yard and not a “dog walk area” I was thinking of getting a Doggie Dooley. Basically, that’s a septic tank for dog poop. I’ve heard good things about them, and others just say they are silly.

I want to hear from those that have one. Do you love it or hate it? Is it as easy to setup and they say it is in the product description? Tell me all the dooley good ,bad, and ugly news.

**edited**For some reason flickr cuts off the vid (below)… so I put it in YouTube instead (above) There’s a lot of the front porch and flower bed area because Dylan kept making Noah start over and giving him directions -lol- It was very cute. Shhh, don’t Dylan I didn’t cut those parts out!

Today is the first day of the moving process. I charged the video camera battery last night so that we can do a little tour of the empty house. Dylan has claimed the job of camera man. I think he takes his school news crew membership a little too seriously sometimes, but in all honesty most of the time he’s better with the video cam than I am anyhow.

If all goes well I’ll have a little video to upload for you later this evening. You know, after I edit out all the shots of my fat butt -lol- It will be nice to not be rushing around trying to do this all in one weekend. We have from now until June 30th to get everything moved. We’ll just take it one day at a time and see how it goes.

We’re already talking about the possibility of buying the house next year. The kids have been shopping and we updated my Amazon wishlist with stuff everyone agrees the new house should have (like new towels LOL) They are really excited about moving, I hope it turns out as good as they are wishing for.

Ethan gets it every year, he doesn’t even have to be near it. The wind blows and he gets poison ivy. Then I have to get rid of whatever shirt he’s wearing at the time because no amount of washing will get rid of it! If he just wears that shirt again he’ll catch it all over again. It’s crazy! It’s been that way since he was about 2 years old.

The boy’s dermatologist back in Pennsylvania had told me some people are just super sensitive to poison ivy. My stepfather is another one of those people. I think he might even be more sensitive than Ethan if that’s possible. One summer both he and Ethan had a nice little outbreak of poison ivy while we were all camping together. Ethan thought it was fun that they both had to sit and go through the anti-itch lotion routine a few times a day together and make sure that neither of them missed any of their itchy spots.

Now, here’s the funny part. Ethan will tell you that him and Pap Pap are poison ivy sensitive, because “duh, we’re related, we’re the sameeeee” ….. He knows that Fred is my stepfather, and he knows that means my parents were divorced, but somehow in his mind this statement still makes perfect sense. Someday I’m sure he’ll connect the dots and realize that it doesn’t, but for now it’s just cute.

Today is the first day of serious full on getting ready to move. Up until now we’ve been sort of weeding through things, and putting things in boxes that we knew we wouldn’t need anytime soon, like extra sweatshirts. Today’s goal …. bag up stuff to donate. Always the first step in our moving plan, get rid of anything we don’t need or that we no longer use. I’ve already got a small bag of clothes that Ethan has outgrown and those are ready to get passed on. I’d show you a picture of the middle of my living room floor, which is currently sorting central, but I forgot to buy batteries! (again! LOL)
